ICBI has come to be a beacon amongst Kolkata’s business networking organizations, growing in strength and quality every year. Trailing in its footsteps, but not far behind, is the Youth Wing, that was conceptualised in 2024, to unite Kolkata’s budding entrepreneurs and reignite the city’s fading economic prowess.
Connecting next generation of Kolkata business leaders across industries
Focus on 21-30 age group for maximizing relatability (age group where people have just finished their education and are seeking to build their careers)
Facilitate members building their own networks vs relying on hand-me-down networks
Rejuvenate Kolkata entrepreneurial landscape by catalysing member startups
Our strategy is powered by four focused verticals.
High-impact, interactive experiences featuring industry experts, guest speakers, and factory visits.
Launched in August, the Mentorship vertical is designed to pair Youth Wing mentees with experienced mentors from ICBI’s parent wing, based on a common industry of interest.
A structured 6-month programme, with 40+ active mentor-mentee pairs, where each pair meets twice a month to discuss new ideas, existing businesses, industry challenges, and growth strategies.
The programme offers the opportunity to learn about entirely new industries from veterans in those spaces, complementing research with practical insight derived from their mentors’ experiences, mistakes, and successes while have a cheerleader to push them further.
The programme provides fresh perspectives and insightful questions that challenge their thinking, encourage them to re-examine their own businesses, and help them grow by guiding, listening, and learning alongside their mentees.
Laying the foundation for Kolkata's future unicorns through 3 primary steps.
Over coffee, matcha and sometimes even more! We pair our members in an attempt to try discover the perfect person they can start their next business with–be it an extension of their family business or a completely new one.
From Idea Validation to Govt. Support (like a session with former IAS officer Rajiva Sinha), MVP Builders to Sales Coaches. And even fundraising - we’ve collaborated with VCs like Eximius and VC Grid! We make sure whoever or whatever our members need access to, they get that.
The worst part of building a business? Having to do it alone. Never will an ICBI Youth Wing member feel that. From official events, podcast watch parties, to a brewing Founders Circle that is an invite-only group of visionaries–these will form the bedrock of the Youth Wing’s startup movement.
We create the perfect mix of fun, connection, and chill. Our focus is creating spaces to laugh, grow friendships, and make every meet the highlight of the month.
